Last night I was poking through my FitBit App & came across something that triggered somewhat of boost in my mindset.  

When I went into my App, I found this weight tracker over the lifetime of getting a fitbit which was late 2019 when I did my last big weight loss attempt.  

During that time, you will see I had results & got down to the same weight I’m actually at today..but then you also see how quickly it went back up.  BUT, here’s what I wanted to point out.  

If you look at the daily weigh-in clusters (light blue dots), it blows my mind how much they jumped around those trend lines.

I was allowing myself 800 calories a day & to do that, I convinced myself that fasting was the best way to go about it.  I was not eating for days at a time at some points & really though it was impressive that I could do that.  But I was miserable.  

The food was bland when I did eat, I was constantly hungry, and I would have major binges when I would feel like ‘How can I do this forever’.

Fast forward to this time around & it really put it into perspective when I saw how tightly close to the trend line my daily weigh-ins are.  I’m consuming 1600 calories a day (double what I did at that time), I’m eating all the same foods I did before (just with adjustment to increase protein), I’m never starving, I don’t have binge days & I have yet to think ‘how can I do this forever’.  

So what I’m getting at is, if you are new to this or even have been sticking to the plan & are feeling defeated, THIS WORKS

Even if we don’t see big drops, it IS happening over time & we are maintaining a healthy level all around on the way there.  I think the screenshot below proves that this plan does exactly what our coaches tell us & it’s creating a truly manageable & enjoyable lifestyle.  It’s still hard, for sure.  But I’ve never been so confident that when I finally get to my goal, I’ll be able to maintain it.
